When I read this I nearly fell out of my chair.  Yesterday my darling EJ tried to “dust” the dog with my keyboard duster.  Needless to say, it DID NOT go over well with the pooch.  I’m waiting to see what kind of fall out happens from this latest demoralization of the poor critter.

I looked out the window the other day to witness my cat doing her “dooty” in my flower bed.  She saw me too and gave me “the look”.  I never felt more like I violated someone’s privacy.  How did she do that with just a look?  I’ve got to learn that trick!

This is must be why I find hair clips in my refrigerator.  The funny thing is EJ’s not able to open the fridge so she must be sneaking them in there when we are busy cooking dinner and opening and closing the door.  She’s just an odd duck.  Speaking of ducks.  The other day I opened my cabinet that holds our pots and pans and found a rubber ducky sitting in a frying pan… just looking at me.  It was kinda creepy.

Umm…ya. EJ also finds it amusing to lean forward in a fake snuggle and just so she can bite me the boob.  Must have missed the warnings about that little trick in the baby books.

This will be the next stage for Tornado Baby I’m afraid.

Man’s best friend my butt. Since EJ started eating solid foods and sharing with the dogs they barely even bother with the grownups anymore.  Just like snot rockets shooting out of my baby’s nose this is another thing the parenting books didn’t warn me about.  The complete abandonment from your pets admiring eyes. They love baby now.

Case in point. But someone should also warn the babies of the world that being doggy’s best friend also has its downfalls. Like auto-wash.

And yes… EJ tried this too. She also thinks dog food is yummy and she has taken to playing with the KONG (dogs chew toy). Of course I wash it, but it really doesn’t do much good when she tosses it to the dogs, they retrieve it and she pops it back in her mouth. Next thing you know I’ll have to give her flea bath!  Sigh……..

This reminded me of how our dogs look at our little EJ. Mostly it’s with disdain because she gets all the attention or because she’s bugging them, but sometimes you catch brief glimpses of superiority.  Oh, just wait my nutty little spastic dogs (Jack Russells), one day EJ will figure out what your tail is for……hdehdehde….wheeeeeeee!

Picture this. 10 years from now, sitting behind one of the egg shaped hybrid car with dings and rust spots.  Puffing out the reeking smell of burning rubber and electrical wires. Possibly used to be sky blue in color but it’s hard to tell from the years of oxidation. With its entire bubble butt hatch back door covered in peeling bumper stickers.  I can see this one on there.

I just knew it was more than just my dogs leaving teeth marks in my shoes.  EWwwwww!  Actually, I’m wondering how the writers of this comic strip “knew” EJ was eating my shoes?  Spooky!

That’s why I’m grateful for modern technology.  It doesn’t make parenting any easier but it does give us really great I-pods to use to to tune the little squirts out. Oh, and lots and lots of different choices in alcohol!
