I’m starting to see some attachment issues happening in EJ. But, of course, it’s not the “normal” attachment. No, not my child. I’d be thrilled if my kid latched on to a cute stuffed animal.  But my baby?  She finds things like the milk bottle cap or a straw, and they become her prized possessions. And she won’t let them go.  For anything.  Not even bribing her with a plastic cup will work.  Eventually she ends up taking them to bed with her. While the idea of my child sleeping with a straw in her hand is bothersome to me, and probably won’t earn me any mother of the year awards, I’d rather have that then “super crazy baby”.  Besides, by morning her fickle heart will move onto another object of complete lunacy like a plastic spoon.

I recognize that look! That’s the “Are you trying to poison me? You spend 22 hours in labor and this is how you get your payback kicks? Trying to poison me with green stuff! Oh how you shall suffer for this woman… Sleepless nights… Snot rockets on the loose… Uncontrollable screaming for no reason that you can see other than a speck of dust landed on the table. Oh, yes… you shall suffer woman…”
